Erica's intention is to guide you to shift your life towards establishing greater balance and discovering your intrinsic creativity to celebrate and explore the infinite potential of the human spirit. "I use the arena of yoga to challenge students to explore their potential on the mat and take that playful curiosity into the rest of their lives to spark a sense that anything and everything is possible . . ." - Erica Blitz
What to expect:
Our upcoming 200hrs yoga teacher training is grounded in the Krishnamacharya lineage with a focus on Vinyasa flow: integrating the movement of the body to the rhythm of the breath. You will come away from this program with an understanding of the science of alignment, the creative flow of Vinyasa, and the life-affirming essence of Anusara. This in-depth training also includes specialty areas of teaching such as restorative, yoga for beginners, prenatal and pranayama. Topics such as ayurveda, subtle body, and anatomy specific to yoga will be covered and leaves you with a strong understanding of these complementary sciences to teaching yoga. Knowledge in these areas can be extremely helpful, especially in large classes that tend to include all types of walk of life from the high stressed individual to new students.
The philosophy component of the program mainly focuses on Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and you will leave with a solid and refreshing understanding of philosophy through a combination of in-class discussions and homework. In addition, you will explore the history of yoga and be able to apply concepts pertaining to the origins of yoga as well as its philosophical underpinnings to your students in your classes. You will be encouraged and empowered to develop both as an individual and as a teacher and learn how to show up with transparency, authenticity and openness both on and off the mat. This training is invaluable for those aspiring to teach or for students seeking to deepen their practice and understanding of yoga. Like any quality learning experience, you will have information to draw upon long after the program is over. The strongest quality ANY yoga teacher walks away with is their personality which shines in their teaching, so we strongly focus on topics such as personal development, confidence, and authentic voice along with excellent alignment techniques and physical components.
